DIY Photo Safari #17: Three Kings Day Parade

Join El Museo in the renowned procession through the streets of East Harlem for the Three Kings Day Parade on January 4, 2013. Come enjoy the colorful floats, dancing, lively music, and 12-foot-tall puppets descend through Spanish Harlem for this holiday procession honoring the magis' visit to that famous manger.

Expect plenty of live music at the parade, which is sponsored by El Museo del Barrio, beginning on 106th Street. Become a part of history! Not only will there be live production, there are also various exhibits surrounding this event, such as "Caribbean: Crossroads of the World". This exhibition "offers an unprecedented opportunity to explore the diverse and impactful cultural history of the Caribbean basin and its diaspora. More than 500 works of art spanning four centuries illuminate changing aesthetics and ideologies and provoke meaningful conversations about topics ranging from commerce and cultural hybridity to politics and pop culture."*
