This LIVE virtual studio photography class will help you better understand what to look for when photographing jewelry and other small products for your website or Etsy page. You’ll learn how to achieve a soft beautiful light with just a desk lamp (not a lightbox) and other simple household objects to achieve professional looking photos without expensive lighting equipment or cameras; just a smart phone will do. The class will be taught by NYC Photo Safari's lead instructor Zim, who will explain and demonstrate how to arrange everyday household objects as background materials and props along with strategies for placing your jewelry/product in the photo. This class won’t make you a pro but it will help you create more professional looking images that will stand out from the crowd. Great photography is not about whether you use a smartphone or expensive DSLR but about how you handle what’s in front of the camera (e.g. light and composition). Since this virtual class is LIVE with a professional photographer you’ll have the opportunity to have your questions answered too.
This virtual class (via Zoom) will begin promptly at 1PM (NYC Time) on Sunday, February 7, 2021. You’ll receive a Zoom invitation to join the session. The course fee is for 1 participant/viewer only. Additional participants in the same household may be added at a 50% discount. Please send a sample of your own product photography prior to the class if you have any so that we can discuss them during the session. You will receive further instructions prior to the session.
meeting point: Virtual time: 2 Hours fee: $69
(All images shown were taken on a Samsung smartphone inside a plastic filing box. You’ll learn how to do this during this session.)
