DIY Photo Safari #19: Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn

Interested in history, sculpture, birds, landscape, trees, and/or gardens? It is all here! Experience it on your own or on a group tour for just $15! Group tours last about two hours. If you visit on your own, you can also have a picnic in the wondrous landscape! With so much history here, there is no need to rush your visit but to enjoy every minute of it!

The main entrance is on 25th Street, enticing visitors with its Gothic feel. Hike a few steep steps to Artemesia Path, which overlooks stunning mausoleums. At 41st Street, climb the hilly staircase up to Sunset Park, one of Brooklyn’s highest points, for calming views of the East River. Green-Wood’s popularity helped inspire the creation of public parks, including New York City’s Central and Prospect Parks, so why not check it out?
