If you have ever been to lower Manhattan you will have seen this incredibly beautiful and ornate building. And if you have ever tried to enter the building you would have been stopped long before getting into the lobby! After 9/11, building management decided that only those with official business inside the buildings could enter. Everyone else is relegated to peeking through the windows to see one of the best examples of Cass Gilbert architecture
This year the Woolworth building is celebrating it's 100th anniversary and for a limited time (April 22-25) the public will have access to the building's interior. What a great way to spend an afternoon!
