Photo Tip #33 - Another Photo Tip to Avoid

You will find the best photos in the least likely places, or so the saying goes. This adage would seem to indicate that the most obvious places render the worst photos. So does this statement mean all sunset photos are bad? Surely we have all seen spectacular sunset photos! Does it mean that any photo of a trash can is good? Every artist (or most young artists) have gone through a "trash can" phase. A phase where they only find beauty in all that is "bad". Although there is merit to looking beyond the surface to find the beauty within, or to look beyond the obvious, good photography is still about good composition and emotion. Look high, look low, look far, look wide, but don't forget to look in your backyard either!
